The Arkansas Advocates For Children & Families is looking for someone to promote public policies that improve equity in resources, opportunities and outcomes for Arkansas’s children and families of color. Our Race Equity Director for Advocacy will advocate for state and federal anti-hunger policies, low-income economic supports, and public assistance policies impacting the well-being of children and families. They will also help our organization ensure we apply an equity lens to all our advocacy work and internal operations, policies and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a combination of research, analysis and writing skills, familiarity with government safety-net programs, and a desire to strengthen these programs by elevating the voices of people who receive public benefits. Position is based in AACF’s main Little Rock office but will remain remote through the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Salary range is $65,000 to $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. People of color and other applicants with lived experience on the issues we champion are encouraged to apply.
